Why see an OON Provider?
You deserve to be in charge of your mental health care. Unfortunately insurance isn’t in the business of keeping up with what makes therapy the most effective. While it provides access to care, insurance also limits what that care looks like. For example:
If you don’t fit into a diagnosis, insurance won’t cover your sessions
If you do fit into a diagnosis, they may only cover 16-32 sessions
Worse yet depending on the diagnosis, those sessions may not be covered if you spend your time in therapy focused on your feelings, how your feelings impact your life in general, focused on how your issues might be related to your sleep pattern or chronic pain, or how the greater socio-political landscape is probably impacting any of these factors - because insurance may only pay for your therapy if it addresses how you’re thinking about your problem.
Your care and wellness is worth the investment. You are worth the investment
Being an OON provider helps me keep my caseload smaller, creating much higher quality sessions for you
Seeing an OON provider offers you some control while still providing the potential for reimbursement via superbill, if you have those benefits in your plan
