Has weekly one hour therapy left you unsatisfied when it comes to making change in your life?

You’re going every week but frustrated that the big changes you’re ready for just aren’t happening. You are dedicated to the process, committed to healing, but confused that it seems like there’s a barrier of some kind keeping you from internalizing everything you’ve learned.

Maybe you’ve been meaning to start therapy for a while but it keeps feeling like a hassle to set it up, let alone making the time for it every week. Plus you keep hearing about how so many therapists are fully booked that you’re starting to feel defeated.

Maybe you’re dealing with a lot more than normal right now and ready for relief and real lasting change now instead of waiting for months or years while working in the weekly therapy process.

Or maybe you just need to get support and help in a way that’s flexible enough to work with your lifestyle.

The world is changing and you’ve learned to adapt. You need systems of support that can adapt with you.

Thankfully, intensive therapy is here to do just that.

Brainspotting Intensive FAQ

  • Brainspotting Intensives are specific, goal focused therapy that is designed to let you skip the waitlist and dive deeply into the issues you’ve been wanting to heal, in a safe and focused environment.

Work through symptoms much faster and on a schedule that works for you. No more taking time off of work or negotiating progress with each weekly session and the things that happen in between them.

Intensives can speed up healing by eliminating:
    - the check in at the beginning of each session
    - tending to each new concern or crisis
    - time spent on developing coping skills that client’s don’t need after healing
    - helping client’s gain composure in order to leave session and return to daily life (sometimes it isn’t even needed anymore!)

  • First we meet for a 90 minute interview to determine your goals, your current circumstances (clarifying stressors, support system, current ways of coping with strong emotion and physical sensations), and to identify the amount of time needed. We will also discuss your trauma history and any negative beliefs you may still be holding onto.

Next, we work together during the intensive to work through and decrease emotional pain while also helping you to strengthen supportive memories, thoughts, and emotions. We will take a short, incremental breaks and then return to the work.

This may also include processing through relationships, events, or goals or worries about your future. This process is very personal and should be highly customized to what you’re seeking.

Lastly, we will meet for a follow up session to explore how the intensive experience settled in, marking what you’ve processed and learned, how you can build on these new insights, and continue to honor these shifts moving forward.

How is intensive therapy more cost effective and more time efficient than traditional therapy?

Weekly therapy breakdown (typically):

  • 10-15 minutes check in from the last session

  • 20-30 minutes of Brainspotting processing

  • 10-15 minutes of closing the session

One month you may focus on one specific issue, costing around $1,000 for the 4 weekly therapy sessions.

But what about the things that come up between sessions? Do you leave your chosen issue to processes this in the next session? How much do you have to review things you’ve already covered when going back to your chosen issue? This is one way that session focus week-to-week can shift significantly and delay the healing process.

So you might actually be in weekly therapy for multiple months, (paying $1,000 per month) and still not feel fully resolved in the issue causing you stress right now.

Intensive therapy breakdown (typically):

  • 10-15 minute check in, establishing session focus

  • 160-180 minutes of Brainspotting processing

  • 10-15 minutes closing the session

You might fully resolve one or multiple stressors within half a day, costing around $1750. Also, 3 hours of Brainspotting processing is equivalent to at least double that amount of talk therapy sessions so you’re doing more work, in less time, needing less therapy overall.

You feel better, sooner.

You spend less on symptom-managing medications, you don’t have to keep taking time off of work, or paying for childcare to attend your sessions.

The bottom line is…

1-3 days can change your life.
